i'm about to swap out the computers. take the old one down and put the new one up. it's not a big deal, but you never know what could happen, so a little luck never hurt.

What's wrong with that? I still have my P3 700 that I bought back in the summer of 2000....makes a great mp3 server.

Yeah but you don't use it for every day stuff do you? Not that I have the latest and greatest in my PC but I'd go nuts if I had a P3.

yeah, i was in limbo. i started out this segment of life with an AMD K6-II, pretty sweet machine when it first came out. that lasted the better part of 10 years, give or take. then it went down in a spiral of smoke, and i have to fill the gap. i found two p3 machines and used each one until it, too, blew up. now i should be good for a coupla years, i think.

I did until about a year ago...when I upgraded to an XP 1700+....now I have an XP 2800+.
Some day I'll have a fast computer again.....
