I think the kid can clean that job up and still have a decent drift car, he didnt really lose to much even after cleaning it up because those swaps arnt cheap, but I hope he learns hi lesson after this bad buy.
I'd be willing to bet that PROPERLY DONE swaps aren't cheap. Hack work to "make it fit" is probably not that expensive.

definitely MIG welds. you're not really supposed to weld cast iron, which is what the manifold is made of.

where is the duct tape? He has everything else.

SR20s are cheap, the labor involved in putting them in correctly isn't. I bet the wiring on that thing it going to be a huge bitch.

Nah I meant abortion.

He bought it in an attempt to use it as a running car, a daily no less. Then he was surprised to learn it wasn't very reliable.

here's my $0.02. First off, yeah its a good combination for those cars withthe motor, but it needs to be built properly. are theese motors made at the factory to support F.I.? whats the C.R. for those pistons, because a stock engine with a fat turbo, is a recipe for disaster. Another thing that "kids" seem to not think about is suspension as well. im sure you can get it sidesways a little stock, but sooner or later stuff will break under there, and it will also be more difficult to control during a drift. Theres a reason why these drift cars now adays have sponsers, and are built as meticulous as stock cars, because htey are expensive to maintain if they are driven at tracks alot.

What an idiot to but something like that, and think he can use it as a daily driver. by the time he's done fixing it right, he could of bough his own 240 and SR20 motor and swapped it in himself, and had money left over. thats a pure hack job if I ever saw one. Ill be honest, most of us who have a passion for cars, probably bought a turd of a car thinking we could rebuild it n such, but you come to find out its more of a headache, then worth it ( for me it was my 79 maro and 3000GT) but 3K? someone robbed that kid.

there are a couple versions of the sr20 motor. The one from japan generally are turbocharged from the factory. In the good ole usa, we got the shaft and never got a turbo one. Knowing the hack job that the car is. Its probably just a turbo n/a version of the sr20...lol.
