Fergie and the New Camaro SS??
WTF -
And here's the article I saw that went along with it - http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/21/2...481x1200463446
Not sure I dig the choice of "musician." Your thoughts?

Eh, the main point is she's more popular among the young crowd than anyone else most people would associate with the new camaro.
Who is popular now that you would rather have associated with? (emphasis on popular)

Good point, I have no idea who is "popular". But just putting the camaro in an ad would sell me.

If the Camaro only sells to enthusiasts, GM will fail, tremendously.

IMO something more rock n roll would go better...like Foo Fighters or something like that. I'm pretty sure Fergie is wayyyyyy less popular than Foo Fighters or some rap star like 50 cent. Just my two cents

I see tons of 20somethings driving new Mustangs..and this is basically the same idea - sporty looking 2 door coupe at a similar price . That's who I take the ad as aimed at..

Same, I was being kinda sarcastic but sometimes watching any show on MTV etc makes you really wonder sometimes...

Well those shows with huge birthdays, and outrageous presents clearly represent the minority of the kids. Most parents can't afford that kinda stuff, especially nowadays.

Her body is nice..face= man
Anyway, its just a small ad in a fasion mag I belive. I dont see why everyone is freaking out. Black Eyed Peas are a big band, and since Fergie left them, she has done very well.
IMO, any time you can get a big pop singer next to a new hot car, im down.

I don't care what they do as long as they market and sell the car. If Barney the purple dinosaur sells Camaros they should shove his fat ass in an ad.
