Anybody with experience with aftermarket EFI systems?

I'm looking to build an EFI motor and I want to use an aftermarket EFI system, like FAST's XFI, Accel's DFI, etc. and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with any of them. Thanks.

Not allot of experience. Right now it looks like the FAST and Megasquirt systems are the most popular. Apprear to be fairly easy to use.

The one thing I'd say is to look at what you want the system to do as some have additional capabilities. Other thing is to look into the wiring harness needs. Making a harness can get exspensive.

I have an Electromotive system (not installed yet). It's one of about 100 make that has a module to convert the Opti signal, but the standard unit can read boost, has two built in rev limiters (Can use one as launch control), RPM switch (spray nitris or alk inject.), Allot of data logging ability, shift light and trouble light ports.

If you want to look at what is probably the best, look at the Motec system, but be aware they are by no means cheap! But the things that unit can do is insane!

MoTeC looks pretty good, but also a lot more than the others. Still an option though. Basically looking for a full system, with basic data logging for track runs, two stage rev limiter, sequential fire, multiple tune settings with instant recall, software programability for a laptop, and solid enough to be used in a daily driver.

I hear better things about fast and even holley over accell. Both usability and durability. No experience though.

Good deals on fast through www.gpsuperstore.com

that site looks pretty good, do you know how trustworthy they are?

Did you see the GP for the new Chris Alston G-Bar? That looks pretty nice

I've had good luck dealing with frank & lisa. The only issue is they are not always fast - it ain't summit. For me they have always come through.
