Who here has Nextel?
I was talking to somebody the other day and ended up loosing the signal and hearing police chater. I know the ACPD use nextels for private channel but I wasn't using DC and I was hearing 10 code...anybody here have this problem?

I had NExtel a little over 2 years ago. It never had service. Nothing but junk, switched over to Verizon best decision I could have made when it comes to cell phone providers!

well AC just got 3 new nextel towers LOL and I need it for my job, makes it easier to call in an illegal park when were in garden court or gramercy park, or when I run on lots like McDonalds or states ave and the garden peir lot where I have to move fast. depending on the way a car is parked I can take a car in anywhere from 30sec to 2min so the phone has to be fast too...we use the group talk sometimes and use 10 code and talk all redneck and snatch cars LOL I even got the pueto rican guy talkin all redneck...thats fun too LOL

the new nextel are great the hybrids they call them nextel and sprint it say on the phone

Verizon has direct connect now too, and they are adding to the network to make their coverage even better

Yeah, they've had it for years now but now they're finally starting to push it. They come out with it as soon as Nextel lost their patent a few years ago.

WE use them for work. I had one over the summer and service suckedddddd. Never heard police chatter though.

but verizon PPT sucks cause theres maybe 10 people with it and as far as I know you cant group connect, ::big ben this heres rubber duck you got a copy on that, thats a big 10:4 rubber duck::
