new PB at Atco today
I jumped in an SRT8 track day at Atco today (few ppl cxl'd)
The track was good but then faded as the day grew longer.
A second prep didn't seem to help but I did manage a new best
60ft 1.68
1/8 7.21@99.63mph
1/4 11.14 @125.63mph
The vid isn't the best but you get the idea
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Z...mph_198207.htm
Enjoy!

What shocks do you have in the rear? Seems like the car is really really quick to try to stand up after the launch and between gears. Maybe more of a tie down shock will keep the suspension loaded up and keep that big tire bark from happening on the shifts.

the reason it looks like that is because the car isnt leaving hard enough. if he can hammer off the launch it will squat. my car still has the stock 91 rear shocks and 86 iroc coil's i the rear and ive been 1.36 60 foot off the foot break.

QA1's single adjustable
Front setting was 2
Rear setting was 5
Springs are SLP Eibach's all around (prob too firm for what I'm trying to do)
so should I soften the rears?

you want the rears stiff and the fronts soft
the fronts are good, just set the rears to 8 and try that

why would u want the rears stiff? let the ass end drop and hit the tire harder, and traction is yours. these cars have simplistic suspension that works extremely well, even in stock form. a stiffer spring in the rear with a soft shock setting is what u want to get ur 60ft down. unless ur running steam rollers, stiff rear shocks wont help. i have a friend that runs the 8.50 index on a 10" tire with stock shocks and a little bit stiffer spring and goes 1.24 in 60ft. stock fronts as well. demonic if u could get ur 1.497 60ft down ud be going much better as well. a stick car should hit alot harder than 1.497.

i was on a lowered suspension that was more of a road race sus when i hit that 60' and w/ stock sway bar
now i have qa1s all around w/ the 275 springs in the front and stock springs in the rear w/ a wolfe sway bar and bmr tq arm relocation bracket and full scaled, i should be able to go 1.39/1.40 all day long now....
plus those settings are what tyson (PAF) told me to run. him and brian (madman) are the 2 best suspension guys imho for the 4th gen cars

wasting energy/time allowing the rear end to compress maybe?

on a small tire u want alot of front end travel and a stiff rear spring, in alot of cases a stiff shock will tend to make the tire unload and give u tire spin.
