Tiger Direct...

...anyone ever order from there? I'm looking to order my parents a new TV to replace their Flintstone era tube setup... also, I know a lot of these sites have refurbished sets... can I assume if it is in fact, refurb'ed, it would explicitly say it somewhere (or at least let me know)? thanks.

Compared to the prices on Best Buy's site, the prices don't look very special. I would just get it from a local retailers site for the few bucks difference so that there is someone to go back to if there is a problem.

Someone mentioned newegg in this post... ive been hawking those awesome deals on there for some black friday shopping... they have a 46" Sharp Aquos LCD TV on a huge sale tomorrow, originally $2,299.99, now on sale for $999.99 ... thats $1300 knocked off the original price.

Tiger Direct bought out what used to be Comp USa and they have stores in Florida and they are legit. Newegg is better, but since newegg is in jersey you have to pay tax so u lose a lot of your savings.

If it has anything to do with a rebate, you won't see your money.

I bought from them in the past, and received DOA items that I had difficulty returning. I'd rather go through newegg or best buy for a TV.

I just ordered my brother a new computer monitor from them on Wednesday night.....22" widescreen Acer for $160 shipped.

Usually I stick to Newegg though.
