If you ever bring that sucker to the track again when I'm there I'll video it. Something different than wheelie-ing to an 11.90 this year?

thanks guys. she really needs a set of longtubes. the shorties are choking the **** out of it and they are killing the sound. i should be able to do better than 11.90s this year hahaha. ive gotten a best of 11.59 but i still think this car should be in the high 10s. i just cant figure out whats holding it back.

no mufflers on it, im thinking about putting some on when i do the longtubes. the car weighs about 3600 with me in it. both of us could use a little diet hahaha. i run 4.11 gear which i want to swap out for 4.30s or 4.56s

haha. this seems to be the age old question for me. is it a street or strip car. i can never really answer that question to well. see this is my first car. ive had it since i was 15 and i am now 23. ive have put maybe 300 miles on it in the past 3 years( street driving). i cant actually commit to making it a track car. because the 15 year old in me still want it to be a street car. it techincally passes inspection and it is reg and insured. but now that the exhaust is off it, i havent driven it on the street. in the summer i go to the track every sunday. so i guess i would have to lean toward calling it a track car. these are my plans
put skinnies up front(have to go back to stock brakes to do this)
longtube headers (1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 primairys)
change rear gears to 4.56s(currently have 4.11s)
add rear sway bar(currently have nothing)
change stall in converter to about 5000ish(currently 4200)
last but not least, if need be, spray with alittle go fast juice
all this and still no job. so im not going to be doing anything for a while.
baddest434: i blame all this on you lol. i remember seeing you at etown when i was in high school. at the time you were running 10.3s i believe. i remember drooling over your car. i remember telling my dad that thats what my car is gunna be like. so i would have to say that i can safely blame my addition to racing soley on you hahahaha. hopefully one time this season we can meet up again. so i can get some more crazy ideas. me and a buddy of my both want to run at atco. so hopefuuly we will see you there one day

sorry man i am a bad influence. lol if you turn your car into a track car with some weight reduction, open headers, different gearing you will definately be in the 10's and on a big shot probally 9's. i know that engine is stout. SHAFIROFF FTW! we should plan a get together at atco in the spring.
your car is fast but you can get alot more out of it.
