				what one is more accurate?

Kelly blue book and NADA what ones is more accurate more widely used?
Reasoning,I was looking at a 99 TA 30th 6 spd with 114000 on the clock, and I did a KBB on it and it came back 7800 private party 9500 retail. Nada says the following,
"NADA VALUES LOW RETAIL = $12,600 MID RETAIL VALUE = $15,800 HIGH RETAIL = $18,700 and up "

so what one is more accurate?
KBB seems better as it takes into account milage and so forth where as nada just used year make and model.

Sounds like KBB. But both are kind of "meh" when it comes to accuracy. Depends on each case by itself.

My answer is this: if your trying to buy the car use KBB, if your trying to sell it use NADA.

Also, since the car has 114,000 miles on it the fact that it's a 30th anniversary addition gets thrown out the window. The car is worth no more than the 10k you offered.

Galves is what car dealers use when giving prices on used vehicles, it is the most accurate when trying to see what your car is really worth. Those other sites are a joke and way off, I run when I go to look at a car and they say they know what its worth on KBB. You can get an idea of how far off they are by going on ebay. If you notice on the top right corner of the screen it will tell you the KBB estimated selling price of the cars listed and also give you the actual amount of the price of the vehicles being sold, they are way off.

LOL@the guy asking $15K,he's out of his mind.

This time KBB is more accurate IMO, usually NADA is more accurate though it's hit or miss. Certain types of cars really have their own market value.

out of those two choices, NADA is probably more accurate. Galves is much more accurate than both of those though.

On a car like that it really comes down to what they actually sell for. You couldn't find a meaningfull price when I was selling my 93 Z28 Indy 500 Pace Car. You have to look at what's for sale and what has sold. With that mileage, it's not worth more than $10-11K at most.

not so. NADA guide has a mileage table at the beginning of the book, and it assigns a roman numeral to year and mileage - which is more accurate than just amount of miles. example: car is a 95, it has 112000 miles, NADA would take into account that that is less than 12k miles a year and either add or deduct from the price given under the make and model.

in either case, they are just guides. not usually used to get an exact number,, mroe of a range of prices where your car could sell.

not all dealers. the dealers by me use NADA. i've seen dealers use KBB. all they really want to do is get a range of what your car is worth. i've seen used car managers call another dealership to get a price range. say you're a chevy dealer and someone wants to trade a toyota. of course you have no idea what they're worth, so you call a toyota dealer and he gives you the range. they are using the other dealer the same way they use Galves&Loan, NADA or KBB. it's a toss-up which is "more accurate", but they all supply a range, a point where to start the negotiation.

Location/demand can be a huge factor in determining the values. The books may not change as quick as the market. Being the car's a special edition it's worth more than your avg T/A
