I would just give the car up and wave goodbye to my credit. I dont know how selling a few ss parts and buying a few z28 parts is going to help him out in the long run. He can just keep the car at a friends and skip a few payments then catch up when he gets a job. Although on another note when i got my mr2 i sold the body kit and all the TRD useless parts and made almost 2000. Stuff i didnt want anyways. I would never take apart a camaro SS though

He should just sell the car.

slp made the ss's. you can't call gm and get the parts direct from them. only 35th anniversary wheels.

Ughh, I can call up my local GM dealership right now and get an SS hood from them and have it shipped to where I want it(I've done it many times). Regardless of who made it if the part is available through GM it's an OEM part.
I guess since Alcoa and Speedline made the Z06 rims for GM they're not OEM rims?

It has a GM part number too(you can also order it through gmpartsdirect.com), I don't have access to my estimating system anymore or else I'd get the #.
The only reason why I posted up was because it sounded like that thread wasn't worthy of your time since the guy said SS parts were OEM...lol
