lowered with 315s

ok im looking at a set of lowering springs. not sure yet but is anyone running 315/35r17s on there z lowered an inch. dont want to have any issues

Every car seems to be different, but when going to re-install your rear wheels check the clearance of the rubber to the inner fender, and also check to make sure the bump stops aren't hitting. If the tire rubs on the inner fender a little massaging with a BFH will do the tricks. Sometimes you'll also need to look into having your rear fender lip rolled to give some added clearance in wheel travel so it doesn't chew up the tire.

When I had the eibach lowering springs in, I could not fit the 315's in the back or the 275's in the front. When I went back to stock height, I had to cut out the bump stops completely to keep from shredding the rims and tires over bumps.

i'm 275's front and 295's rear and i have a little wiggle room. get an adjustable panhard bar! i think i might be 1.5" drop. also, i cut my bump stops.

well i have 275 fronts and 315's in the rear and i have the "high mileage" drop. My car sits almost an inch below stock, even noticed it up close when another 4th gen pulled up next to me at wawa and the kid even asked what springs i had. I had to roll one of my inner fenders and use a BFH to tap in a spot that was touching alittle. My bump stops have not been a problem. I have an APHR also to try to center the rear better.

yeah i had to cut the mounts to about flush with the inner fender. i also have almost no backspacing on my wheel.

well i just washed my car and i check out the 275s i had on there if i dropped the car it would be damn close with the stock size on my ttms. once i get the 315s i dont think it would be very good.

I have Strano springs and 315 summinto's on the rear. All I did was beat in the inner fender with a BFH and had no problems since. an adjustable PHB is mandatory tho.

yeah but its the mount that the bump stop attaches to that gives you the problems. it really depends on the wheel though like al said.

rear wheels 17x10.5 offset 44 bs 7.48

Rough offset there, should be 54mm or so for 4th gens I belive.

315/30/18's on C5 Z06 18x10.5's on Hypercoil 1.4" springs. I've been running 315's for years now on my car, and only now does the passenger side rub on the fender, thats the only issue I've ever had in 4 years and 3 different heights.





You can't deny the 315's. Don't puss out, they fit, it just takes a little creativeness.

i could be wrong on the offset i just got that off americanracing.com real quick. tire rack doesnt have the 10.5 rim listed anymore just the 17x9 for the ttms. ill have to find my invoice with the part number to be positive
