G8 got a little love today too

You may have seen the thread with the mods to the bird. Well I couldn't do nothing for the G8.

Installed a GXP rear trim panel (black part of the rear bumper). Didn't buy it to be a poser but it looks better, relatively cheap and muchhhhh easier to clean. The stock honeycomb design isn't bad but sucks to clean.

I think it looks much better. IMO I dont think the quad tailpipes looked good. The two single tips look much better.

Thanks and the exhaust sounds great but I like to compliment it with a set of LT's and a catted x-pipe. I don't want the car overly loud but these cars come extremely quiet from the factory.

He posted exhaust vids a long time ago when he got the new exhaust installed. That's not what this thread is about killer

That looks way worse than the stock one. You should put the stock one back on and sell the GXP one to me, cheap! Damn backorder!

Meh not exactly feeling the V6 tails. I thought I liked them more at first but the GT's grew on me. The black and orange theme will prob be the way I am going with the car. The big red taillights would detract from that route. I may go a light tint on them in the future.

Love the rear trim panel, but I kind of like the original tips better.

They look better in person. Reason being is you see the polished stainless mufflers behind the tips. Only really noticed it when the wife took the car for a spin and I caught the reflection.

Going to PA today with my son to pick up a 1 week old "NEW" BORLA system he got for $750. The guy is selling it because it is to "TOO LOUD". Yeah hello, put back the nice super quiet stock system. This has all the pipes from the cats back with larger (then stock) dual tips. He is going to spend a day with some Blue Magic polish and get them installed. He also ordered the GXP rear valance. Will get some pictures up in a few days. Heard the BORLA sound on the G8 board and it sounds awesome!
