My dad was telling me there is a really cool auto museum out there which ill be seeing in july. Can always take a ride to hollywood took less than 2 hours.

 | Traffic is horrable, so plan at least an hour a head. If you go to LA I would def look into Venice beach and hollywood (watch yourself there), or disney land just for the day, the griffith observatory is neat too.

Well I was stationed out there when I was in the marines and there is tons to do. In the san diego area itself, you can hit up the zoo, sea world is right there, and in the actual city theres some cool site seeing places. If you jump on the 5, you can cruise right up to the LA area which is awesome to see. Pacific coast highway is definitely beautiful to cruise, we used to cruise that with the F body club I hung with out there. If all else fails, you can sit your butt on a beach, from what I was told yesterday the weather has been beautiful out there, typical calli. Enjoy your trip man

 | Ill get some info from my dad. I got to LA in less hours from outside sandiego. so i would figure the most from Deigo would be 3 hours with traffic. I personally didnt like hollywood IMO.

San Diego = the whales vagina.
Just was there last june.
beach will be over cast but 2 miles inland will be sunny.

things to do.
Cliffs
Zoo
Lego land - seems gay at first, but you will be amazed by the time you leave
the gas light districts is the night life. its basically a yuppie mo-town/ hobokken atmosphere. neat to walk though.
take the train to Tijuana. cross the river of poo and have a taco at the orange shanty. probably dirt and mouse crap, but they taste great. revolutionary ave is not what it was. just some bars, strip clubs, souvenir guys and people selling penis drugs. no donkey shows. , I have a burrito every day and drank mexican water and I was fine. the GF on the other hand had some issues. .
there are a few car builders in the area.
desert valley is a neat place to visit of you have time

LA blows. I walked Hollywood ave, saw the stars in the sidewalk, ect. NYC has better skanks. Rainbow bars rocks. visit the Hustler store across the street when you leave. I met Ron Jeremy there. Ironic.
PCH is awesome as with muholand dr. give the rental hell. wally parks museum is neat.

If you decide on going to the beach, don't go to the ones in San Diego. Hit up North County (Solana Beach) Or in San Clemente (like Dana Point). Not as crowded. Hell, If you go to the one at Oceanside you might be able to see the "Top Gun" house. If you can Hit up a Fat Burger or and In and Out Burger only because those food chains don't show up on this side of the Mississippi.

San Clemente is about an hour drive North of San Diego. Take the 5 North and you'll see it. But if you take the PCH, You'll be able to see some beaches that aren't over crowded.
