Rear LCA bushings?
I'm beefing up the rear on my third gen bird and i'm trying to decide which would be more worth it and practical. Poly or solid aluminum bushings for the control arms? I have a pretty much stock 305 with a 4.10 ratio rear and its a track only car. I'm not worried about road noise and i want the rear to be firmer for good solid launches. Are poly bushings good enough for me or should i pony up and go with the aluminum bushings and not worry about them again?

The poly bushings in a UMI/BMR LCA is fine.

the poly/rod end combo arms are a good choice for a street strip car. Dont buy the aluminum bushings, too much bind. If you really need a solid mount, get ones with rod ends on both sides.
UMI makes great stuff, check them out

i have lcas with poly up front and spherical rod ends on the axle. work great and not noisy imo. mine are spohn.

Poly tends to become mush over time, so using them in applications like control arms for example is a waste. Either go back to rubber, or step up to some sort of solid bushing.
I dont know if anyone makes delrin laced aluminum bushings for third gen stuff. Check out Global West. The DelALum bushings are great, give you zero bind if done correctly.
Your other option is rod-ended parts. Going to sacrafice ride for strength.

in that case, use ones with rod ends on both sides, cost a little more, but are the strongest
