Thinking about how I want to rebuild my 91 RS

Follow the dream of a LS6/T-56 powered sleeper that I may not ever have the money to build.

Rebuild the 5-speed thats already in the car, get a 350 crate motor, and have a generic mullet mobile.

Try to build a high reving 302 out of a 350 block, rebuild the 5-speed and have something cool and unique, and have everyone tell me that i should have just put a 350 in it.

Restore the car, rebuild the L03 and 5-speed and have very clean, very boring RS.

Also is it possible mate a LS engine to the 5 speed?

Just thinking out loud looking for input from people that have been here and done this.

Sell the lt1 get a ls1 car, put a 383 or a supercharged 350 in the 91 with a t56 and call it a day.

not a bad idea, but the lt1 was a christmas present from when i first came home after 2 years of being in the marines. I would also like to have something kind of unique going on with the RS.

Probably more expensive than the LS/T56 deal. I'd go with the 350 crate.

Aiming for less displacement does not compute. Sure, a 302 will rev, but it won't be making any power. Every kid with a 350 will be kicking your tail.

No, give us some credit...we'll tell you that you should have put a stroker in it!

If you're looking to save money, just get a 350 out of a late '90s Tahoe/Yukon and stab a decent cam into it.
