Saw it tonight, great action flick. Ties the past and future together, and you get to see a familiar face...

lol the familiar face, CGI'ed in. that was a great reincarnation i was not expecting it.
i thought it was a pretty good action movie. i didnt like the little quips that they used from the terminator movies in the past, like when reiss says: come with me if you want to live or john says: tell them ill be back.

Ahaha, yeah they keep throwing thoes lines in all the movies. I looked at it as where did it actually start, since with all the time travel its hard to say.

The line "come with me if you want to live" is actually kind of important. Its the first thing Reese says to Sarah Connor in the first movie. It's also the first thing Arnold says to her in the second. The fact that Arnold said it in the second one was to signify that, just like Reese, he was there to protect her (you're supposed to imagine she remembers that that was what Reese had said to her)
The "I'll be back" line is for pure comedic value though

i thought it was a great movie... but i mean... the CGI was pretty bad honestly... i would have rather seen them come do a short thing in person... you could easily tell it was CGI

I thought the special fx were great in this movie. The water-bots, the HK drones, everything looked cool. I dont know if they made a real T-600 robot to put in that scene, but it looked scary as hell.

I think they did a great job of CGI'ing his face circa 1984. Have you seen him recently? The man is deep in his 60's.
What I think is funny is how big they tried to make him look in T1, and they were able to really show how they really wanted the T800 to look, instead of some 5'6" Austrian Body Builder trying to look as if he was 6'5.

Yeah, the T800 should be bigger then your average human in every way, but not that much bigger. In T1, they had to give the look that Arnold was bigger then he really is. Thats why a lot of the shots of Arnold are from the bottom up.

I think the first two movies were excelent, and some of my favorite movies of all time. The acting wasnt the best, but the story, feeling of impending doom (esp in T2), the music, and the effects were all great. I also loved the whole theme of technology vs humanity too, it played a very fitting part in the 80s and 90s when technology was taking over everything. The writers of the movie didnt have a very good grasp on time travel though. If you were to go back in the past and mess everything up, that is just how the future would have been anyway. Say if someone where to go back and kill hitler, they obviosuly failed, because it would have happened in the 1940s already and histroy just would have played out that way. But if you were to include that theory the movie wouldnt have really made sense so i can see why they did that.

yeah u mean like, if someone sent someone back to kill hitler, if hitler didnt exist how could someone be sent back to kill him? i think of that all the time but hey if u think of it that way none of the movies would be very entertaining would they lol
