ok, once i put the door panels back on, with the window switches, put the rear seats back in, put a new opti in, a new water pump in and get it all back together and running i would be more than happy to post as many pics as you guys want, and some videos, so until then i really could give a **** less wat you WANT, so your going to have to wait, im so sorry for wanting to get it started before i post a single pic of this thing man, i really am, i mean that from the bottom of my heart.

I look forward to seeing pics and a video but OK guy sounds very sarcastic to me (it could have been meant differently and if so I apologize for my reply) and there are tons of sites giving out wrong info on every car out there, just cause its on the net somewhere doesn't make it correct ..

if you read that article further it states in one section about early 92+ 4L60-E's too though. So its a confusing mess of misinfo.

yea, like right here: "The key distinction of the Later 4L60-E (1997-2006) from the Early 4L60-E (1992-1997) or 4L60 (1990-1992) or 700R4 (1982-1989) is the six-bolt "hex" rear output or tailhousing / adapter pattern."

but before they said: "The Late 4L60-E was released in 1997 in and fully phased into wide use through GM by 1998 in both RWD car platforms (including the C6 Corvette) and trucks in both 2wd and 4wd configurations."

^^^ i actually just noticed that they said "LATE right there, completely my fault i misread

Jesus tap dancing Christ.

The GM trans stuff is this:

# of forward gears engine "direction" GVWR rating - electronic/heavy duty

So a TH400 is a 3L80.
And a 700-R4 is a 4L60.
A 4L60-E has 4 forward gears, longitudinally mounted, is rated for a GVWR of 6000 and is electronically controlled.
A 4T65-HD is a 4 speed auto, transverse mounted, GVWR of 6000, and is "heavy duty"

In F-Bodies, you got this:

First gen- Powerglide, "Torque-Drive", TH350, TH400
Second gen- Powerglide, TH350, TH400
Third gen- TH200/TH350(?- don't know or care), 200-4R and 700-R4
Fourth gen- 4L60 in 93, 4L60-E from then on

Third gen- TH200/TH350(?- don't know or care), 200-4R and 700-R4

No TH350. 200-4R in a 3rd gen? Is that just the TTA car?

83-84 were 200C's weren't they?

200-4r was 89 TTA only.

Are you ever right about anything?

82s got TH200 3 speed autos - not sure when the switch to the 700R4 came about.
