i read this earlier at work... very happy about it... i might buy two or three extra and hold on to them until the price goes up in october... wonder if thats legal

edit...nvm i just read that article... its only for upgrades

so im running vista now...is windows 7 a less demanding OS that'll actually help my system pick up some speed?

Bobb, did you install it from XP? Was the install simple? Run into any issues? They're saying for XP, when you buy the upgrade you'll actually have to do a full install.
