Bye bye rear

About 70 miles away from home, doing roughly 70 on the GSP & the diff locked up. Loud clunk & I manage to get the car to the shoulder. Get out, look back & the back of the driveshaft is hanging on the floor with fluid pouring out of it.

5 hours & 2 tow trucks later, I'm home with a car I can't drive.

What happened? How & Why?
What am I looking at?

^^ car's seen 1 track day. I meant more along the lines of an immediate problem; impact related? low on diff fluid? (<<diff fluid was added ~4k ago), etc.

No guestimates either, eh chris?

Go figure... I make a good ~100 hp more and my cars been on slicks, no issues.

Could be bolts that backed out, just the harmonics did it.
