LS1 Cam Tuning Problem

I am set to do a cam swap in the next 2 weeks and Im stuck with a tuning dilemma:

1. I am dead set on doing the cam install myself
2. I would like to have the car tuned without driving it to a shop on the stock tune.
3. I do not want a mail order tune

I thought about having the car towed to a shop after the install, but I would like to know if any sponsors have suggestions. Thanks.

what are the specs on the cam card you are putting in that you are concerned with driving it on a stock tune ?

But i say flatbed it.

Not 100% on the specs yet, Its either going to be the streetsweeper HT 228/232 or a custom cam 230/230. both on a 111 lsa, with aggressive lobes. I'll be ordering as soon as I get an email back.

I will be installing a vig 4000 TC, 30# svo's, and supporting valvetrain with the cam. I would rather play it safe and not drive on the stock tune since most tuning shops Im looking at are over an hour away.

Can any sponsor offer a pre-tune just so I can drive it to their shop for a full?

fwiw, i have a 239/242 .603/.609 but only on 113 or 114 lsa. i also did a ported TB and 37# injectors, along with ls6 heads and LTs/full exhaust....
and i ran it on the stock tune for quite a while.. actually ive even raced it hard on a close to stock tune(just injector sizing adjusted), and no issues. It'll get tuned in sept finally though.

I can come by and get you all tuned without you having to worry about driving to a shop. Shoot me a PM and we can discuss it.
