ordering longtubes
im ordering pacesetter longtubes for my car and im a bit confused at what to order. the car is a 1996 trans am but it has a 92 vette motor in it, do i go by the year of the body or the year of the engine

Hmm i could be wrong on this one. But if you order 92 headers and your usin a 96 ecu. Your gonna throw codes for the cat. But other than that. Id still say got with 96. Headers.

vette tax
Vette bodies/header fitment and clearance are definitely very different from those specs on an f-body... get the ones for the car

Yes, F-body headers. I put 68 Camaro headers on the 94LT1 that was in my old 68 Camaro. They fit perfectly. Obviously there was no AIR in the 68 so that wasn't an issue.

You would need the headers for the F body.
