November Car of the Month Submissions

Anyone can post one picture of only their Camaro or Firebird in this thread.

Please include your name and a short paragraph describing the mods done to the car and/or a short story about the car as well.

If this is not posted in this thread by the time voting begins, your car will not be included in the vote.

At the last week of the month we will post a poll that will last for one week and the winner will get to spend the following month showcased on the home page of the site. Past winners will not be eligible to win again for 12 months.

All submitted pictures should be a minimum size of 640 x 480, as this is the size of the image that will be posted on the home page. If you aren't sure of the size, post it up the largest image you have (within reason).

If you have submitted a car in the past, but were not selected as a winner, feel free to submit another pic. You can continue to enter each month until you win.

Please limit this thread to posts submitting pictures only. Comments and other chit-chat will be removed.

1979 Camaro Z28
Well, I bought the car in '06 with what I thought was the original 350. Motor ended up being in not-so-great shape so I swapped in an LT1 350 and 700r4 and retained the engine management. The car runs great and is very fun to drive. Not too many of these 2nd gens on the road anymore.

1994 Z28.
This is my pride and joy. I bought it when I was a freshmen in high school and I am now in college. It is my first car, the car I learned to drive on. It has some simple modifications: Magnaflow echaust, SLP fan control switch, TB airfoil, American Racing TT's, etc. I hope to do more to it soon. I recently won "Best Stock Paint" trophy at a local cruise night.

Rocky Villari - 1995 Firebird

I picked up the car in May 2008. It's a 3.4 v6 i got this car to get used to driving before i get a v8 due to mom being scared. I bought it from a older lady and put TT's on it. It has a tuner chip, fresh air intake and a magnaflow high flow cat into stright pipes.

This is my baby. I bought her last year and she was barely running. Fixed her up and now i have my first F-body. its 95 3.4L M5 and i drive her in all conditions she has even seen a little mud and has hauled concrete and the such. How many other F-bodys take that kinda abuse and look this good? haha

This is my 1999 SS camaro. Since these cars were new and I saw the spoiled young punks driving them off the lot and around town, I said one day I will own one of those! Well I returned home from my first tour in Iraq and got to purchase my dream, a beautiful pewter SS camaro with all the whistles and bells. It is 6 speed manual, leather interior, and of course T Tops. I purchased it off of the 1st owner who cried when I had the title in hand and pulled away in it. I haven't done many major mods to it because I would like to keep it original. I did put chrome ZR1 wheels on it to dress it up a little bit, SLP lid, and a flowmaster exhaust. I tend to treat the car very good and in return he treats me good and runs like it just pulled off of the lot.

My name is James Newcomb and I've owned this car for just under 5 years. Since I've gotten it it's been repainted twice, torq thrust II rims, reupholstered interior, new carpet, all the rubbers replaced twice, 91-92 high rise spoiler, custom exhaust, hooker shorty headers, flowmaster muffler, functional ram air hood/air box.

My name is Jeff Conover, and this is my 1996 Camaro. I've owned this car for about 5 years now, with the better part of that off the road for maintenance. The powertrain for this car is a 3.8 Litre motor with Headers, custom exhaust, SLP Cold Air Intake, A/C Delete, and a retuned computer. The transmission currently in the car is a 4L60E.

Currently the car is under a rebuild, with the motor being swapped out with a 3.8 bored .030 over, an ARH cam, double roller timing chain, #130 LS style springs, light weight push rods, powdered metal connecting rods, and other goodies to give it a little more kick. The 4L60E is being swapped out for a T5 which is being beefed up a little before being dropped into my car. The final parts to be installed after wards is my C5 brake upgrade kit,and a Corbeau 5 point harness seat.

The majority of mods for the car is the suspension, which includes Bilstein shocks/ Eibach springs, UMI 3 point SFC, adjustable Pan Hard Bar, a rear with 4:10 gears, and upgraded to Z28 Disc brakes, Aluminum driveshaft, tubular Lower Control Arms, Shock Tower Brace, and 35mm/25mm Sway Bars.

Appearance upgrades include Red Grand Sport Stripes, 9.5 and 11 X 17 Grand Sport Replica rims, SS wing, shorty antenna black front corner lights and clear with black backround taillights, and a carbon fiber emblem.

I'm Knipps and this is my 94 Z28, it's pretty much the same as when I bought it except with a few new parts including a fuel pump and optispark. The car's been nicknamed 1up (as you can see with the green mushroom in my sig) because every time I consider selling her, the car seems to have 1 more life.

This is my 1994 Camaro RS, It is green v6 and hard top at least that's what the title states. The previous owner did a lot of modifications since then. The car is now a custom cyber Grey metallic, has a T Top conversion , and is now going to be the proud recipient of an Lt1. The car is still in the project stage the engine and trans has still yet to be inserted into the vehicle. The transmission is a built 4L60e with a 3500 stall converter. The engine is awaiting a cam, still deciphering between a gm847 and cc306. It has a stock 10 bolt with a new posi unit and 3.73's. One day the car will soon be done.

This is my 1997 Camaro Z28 which I bought from my brother last October bone stock. Motor was rebuilt stock at 64k after it was hydrolocked. Now she runs great and features a few mods such as CAI and Magnaflow Catback w/ cutout. Upcoming plans include a set of pacesetter longtubes this winter...

This is my 2001 Camaro SS. I bought it brand new in August '01. I drove it daily for just about 4 years until the original motor blew due to bad fuel. At that time, out came the old and in went a '03 ZO6 LS6 crate engine from GM. At that time, the motor also got a TSP MS3 camshaft, rebuilt rocker arms, dual spring valvesprings, ported oil pump, ARP rod bolts, MSD coil packs, QTP LT headers, offroad y pipe, Magnaflow catback, electric water pump, larger injectors and a ported TB. Transmission is stock with the factory Hurst short throw shifter, Lous short stick, and a Textralia clutch. The rear end is from a 2002 WS6 with stock 3.42 gearing. The original rear blew up twice previously. The car has a rally red Manta Stripe(looks orange in the pics though), HIDs from a '02 S600 Benz, clear front directionals, Export taillights, and a European Export rear bumper assembly. Inside the car, there is a VDO Xtreme tach and radio delete along with a wolfe 6 point roll bar. Suspension and chassis consists of Spohn chassis mount TQ arm, LCAs/Panhard bar w/ spherical rod ends, UMI tubular 3 point subframe connectors, BMR LCA relocation brackets, and Intrax lowering springs in the front. The current hatch is a lightweight version with a rear speedglass window from Percys. I am still in need of getting the car tuned, but havent had the time. However once tuned, the car may be for sale and/or trade.

1974 Camaro. 77k miles original 350 2 barrel and th350. I drive it almost every day, and it is almost completly stock except for the exhaust. As it sits the 350 manages to wheeze out 140 hp, and a blazing 16sec quarter mile. I have a complete edelbrock 410 hp kit for it, I just need to decide if I wan to build a 383 or not.
