LS1 Knock Sensor code
check engine light came on in the TA, scanned it, P0327, for the knock sensor towards the front, cleared the code a few times now, comes back within a few minutes while driving. no other codes at all. i just filled up with 93 and added some stp octane boost for ****s n giggles.
any tips/tricks for removing the intake manifold? and replacing the knock sensors under there? i figure ill do both while its apart

dont bother disconnecting the fuel line from the rail you can just flop the whole rail out of the way on the driver side. if you have any little pieces of vac hose to hold up the back 4 bolts on the intake while sliding it forward it always makes life easier because of the cowl (bolts wont come all the way out). be careful with the sensors in the back of the intake, lots of people have broken em. the rest is pretty straight forward.

you haven't done anything recently that could have pinched the harness right?

car sat for about 2 weeks while the hood was getting painted, picked it up and after a day of driving the light came on... i wasnt under the hood doing anythin personally and i really havent checked under the hood yet. i will take a peek before tarring anything apart

yeah i'd give a good look by the pcm harness. it wasn't out in the elements uncovered right? if it was, could have gotten water in that harness.

I recommend doing both sensors at once and watch the tops of them they are very sensitive

honestly i dont know it if was outside, we did have the big rain storm last week...
everything has taken a dump at once this week, so i downed the car for now

Watch that you dont break the knock sensor harness connectors, they're brittle. You may just want to go and order a new knock harness. While your in there, check to make sure the knock sensor oil seals aren't leaking. If they are, they could be giving you false knock.
Also pay attention to you oil pressure sensor durning removal and installation of the intake, the brake booster hose will catch it and break it if your not paying attention to it.
When removing the intake, its 10 times easier if you just leave the fuel rail on the intake and disconnect the fuel line. By taking the fuel rail off and leaving it connected to the fuel line, you run the risk of ripping an injector o-ring. You'd be making for more work for your self.

Do the LS1s have the same problem the LT1s have with the KM? I know a lot of times if you do even just a minor amount of mods to an LT1 the KM can get tripped from a loud exhaust and the trick is to replace it with an LT4 KM. IS there a similar trick with LS1s?

just pull whole fuel rail off
oil pressure sending unit behind intake(take it off first and be careful)
make sure that the wires stay in away from heads when you change the sensors, first time i did it the wire was too close and melted a little bit so i got the code again, had to do it all over and splice in new wire (pita)
