i need help...fuel filter

Im doin the fuel filter on the camaro today, and im having a hard time trying to find the filter. i was told its in the rear, passenger side infront of the axle, ive been under the car for the past hour and i havent found anything that looks remotely close to a filter, and to enterrain myself a lil bit more, i decided to check the driver side and still havent found a thing, i see brake lines and wires for the fuel pump, no filter. its an 87 with a 305 carb, all stock, no mods. any help in the next hour with where it could be is very appreciated, thanks guys

on the side of the carb. passenger side. dont break the fuel line. it pinches easily. if it breaks just cut it down and use a piece of neoprene rubber. itll hold.

Wrong fuel filter. He is looking for the in-line fuel filter, not the in-tank or at-carb.

rockauto doesnt list any other fuel filter for the 305 carb motors than the one at the carb. i dont remember replacing any other fuel filters on the lg4 thirdgens ive owned as well. which is why i mentioned the filter at the carb

I'd be very surprised if there was only one fuel filter in the system.

it seems the carb models only have the carb filter and the tpi models have the inline fuel filter by the axle.

if it was a carb car OE I'd expect what is pictured above along with a mechanical pump.

And the OP stated that he has an in tank pump, so he should have an inline filter as well (meaning that's it's not an LG4 car).

LOL, that is why I underlined IF. But he may be wrong about the in tank pump if he can't find the filter.
