 | I agree that's why I got it . I have had this car on my radar since they unveiled the pre-production model. It's the 3.0 w/ 255hp. And yes, it is the White Diamond.

Wow, didn't expect you to trade it in within the week!
White Diamond was initially a Cadillac color, correct? I remember seeing it on the 1st Gen CTSes back in '03-ish and it looked stellar. Congrats on the purchase, John!

Congrats on the purchase, John! | Yeah, it was a pretty quick turnaround, lol. I went to the dealer last weekend just to look and do a test drive. Ended up talking prices and was able to negotiate a REALLY good price on it, along with the Pontiac rebate and the points on my GM card. They were also giving me a good trade in value so it ended up being a no brainer.

I'm not sure if it was on the 1st Gens, but I know the '08+ CTSs have the White Diamond.

Very nice! I agree, GM did a great job restyling the LaCrosse. Are they offered in RWD?

Well, now you have a very rare, one year car! The 3.0 is being dropped, and the 3.6 is getting AWD as an option.http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f...get-awd-90313/

I liked the car when I first saw it on TV, it looked great! It even looked great in person, it was just too big for my or gf's liking.

I'm guessing they'll now offer AWD on the CXS as well.

3.6 will continue to make the 280hp.There were a lot of complaints about the 3.0 overall. I havent driven one, but I cant imagine it being THAT bad. It gets rough reviews in the SRX.

It could use a bit more torque, but it's really not bad...granted I only have 200 or so miles on it right now.

Yeah, the complaints is that the 3.0 doesnt have the power needed for the class. I think its just funny. 250hp Buick is too weak now, 280hp is what is wanted....does that sound crazy to anyone else?
Anyway, Im not 100% if the 2.4 will be stanard issue across the board. Im 90% sure its only ont he CX models, with CXL and CXS getting the 3.6 standard. The 2.4 is to show the 20/30mpg rating, thats it.

The major difference currently is that CXL only offers AWD and CXS only has 280hp. How would they keep the price lower on the CXL? With the 3.0L the CXL is a really good value.

CXS is just more standard featuresS has GM's adaptive strut system, HiPer system as well as the adaptive suspension and larger wheels. CXS gets standard heated/cooled seats and steering wheel as well, including other features. The 3.0 didnt offer any advantage over the 3.6 in gas milage really, and the power difference is what made them drop it.
I expect an hybrid, and the new twin-turbo 3.0 v6 to show up in the LaX in the future.
