Anyone Here Work @ a GM dealership?

			Reason being......I need help.
I have a 02 duramax dually and its got 1 or 2 bad injectors (smokes alot @ idle & mpg way down)

its out of time on warranty but its still under mileage! 170k and they were never done before.

went to Asphlund Gmc in manahawkin, they said they can't do it, I need to call GM and get the injectors done under special policy/exception.

Called GM and they said all warranties/special policies must go through dealer and for me to see the dealer.

So @ this point I need someone (inside) to help get this pushed through for me.
I can't afford to pay for the injectors & labor. I could buy the injectors and do it myself but this is a known problem with these trucks and I feel that they should take care of it.

Let me Know if any of you guys could help me out!

usually its such amoutn of time, or mileage, whicever comes first, so the mileage deal is irrelevent. I've heard of this problem with the Chevy diesels. Is your injectors leaking even when it's turned off?

They usually only allow Good-Will repair extensions for Bumper-Bumper warranty. I had a customer in last week that needed an IPC in his Escalade, he was only 7,000 miles over the Special Policy limit and we couldn't cover anything for him.
Most places I know of won't do much for anyone unless your a regular customer. I'd offer to try and help but we are Cadillac only and we don't deal will Duramax stuff.

NO, injector doesnot leak into crankcase that I know of( oil level good not over filled.
@ idle it will run fine, once starting to warm up starts to smoke, definitly excess diesel fuel that causing the smoke.

ecm controls injectors to be open via switched ground, so when vehicle off injectors closed, maybe when running (open the pintle is weak and won't return fast enuf?)

all I know is that it doesn't smoke goin down the road, only @ idle or no load on engine.
(when driving/load extra fuel is being burnt? thats why no smoke)

dont those injectors have a extremely high pressure, to do it yourself wouldnt you need a few specialty tools. Or can you just let the fuel system bleed down.

Yea something like 25-30,000 psi, just have to bleed fuel down via shrader valve, and crank a few times to run the fuel out of the rail.
