It's certainly not the first Jeep that has been graced with the LS1. The swap is discussed somewhat often on various Jeep forums.

The vents and whatnot are definitely ricerish, but XJs run hot as hell with a stock 4.0, I imagine the extra heat from a twin turbo LS1 would necessitate some extra venting.
