Does anyone else have a problem with....

LT1 cloth seats?! I have had my car for over 5 years now and could never figure out my back issues, until I got another car as a daily driver. The car doesn't have an extreme amount of miles (110,000) and is a 94. For rides over an hour long I suffer the next day. Does anyone else have this problem?
I've been looking for seats to replace my fabric covered cinder blocks and there are a lot of options. I could find a leather set out of another F body (I sat in Nick's seats and they're amazing!) or I could get a set of racing style seats. I don't know which route to go. I was looking at these http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...products_id=67
Does anyone have any insight on what seats I should get? Does anyone else have a problem with LT1 cloth seats?!

its probably the cushioning deteriorated and you are basically sitting on the frame. my old cloth seat did this and would give me a terrible knot by my right shoulder blade. i threw that ****er out and bought some newer leather trans am seats.
 try a couple pillows.

So I guess I am in the market for new seats. Which are best in terms of comfort? Firebird/Camaro, leather or cloth? I ride in Slaptastic's 02 Camaro with cloth and its a completely different seat.

I kinda dig the 3rd gen cloth gta seats. Which basically are 4th gen TA seats. Drove to floriduh, around down there for a bit and back (about 3000 miles). My back was fine.
But the best way that I solved the problem about the seats, I bought a set of GTO ones... Just happened to have a GTO wrapped around them.

The foam can dry out and harden. I had a set that I recovered and the foam was very stiff. I steamed them and they softened up for a short while. But they got stiff again. I think the cloth lets the foam breathe and dry out where the leather does not.

eh, i'd hop on ls1tech and ask people who bought them how they are. its really your choice in the end as to what you want. i dd with a kirkey aluminum seat and cover and it doesn't bother me. on long drives, well over an hour, i notice my legs get a little restless and my balls fall asleep. other then that, i like it.

Find someone parting out an LT1 Camaro or LS1 bird with leather seats. That's where it's at.

All seriousness I am really thinking about those 6LE seats. I sat in some race seats yesterday and they seem really firm and supportive. Probably my best bet seeing as I have the back of a 90 year old paraplegic...

So I was led to these seats from a Craigslist ad (and Jason) and it seems like a killer deal. Full leather swap from a '00 SS for my cloth seats. However, his drivers seat has seen better days. Its not terrible but it needs some repair.
This is what he emailed me :The problem with the driverseat bolster is as you can see there is a spot (about and inch--thats my thumb nail in the pic) where its separating at the seam. Then in that same spot, the leather is starting to split on the crack there. I have been keeping it covered since that happened so it doesn't get agitated or worse. Then you can't really tell until you get close up, but one of the cracks on the seat bottom split a little bit. This spot isn't so bad, the leather is thinker here and isn't so vulnerable. You can see in the one pic I tried pulling it apart a bit between my fingers so you can see it at its worst. Other than up close tho, you really don't notice it as you can't tell unless you literally open it like i did for the picture.

What do you think this would cost to repair, and is it worth it? The other seats are in good shape besides the drivers. What would you do?

Having sat in enRo's LS1 Camaro leather seats, I must say they are pretty damn hard and uncomfortable (Rode from his house to East Rutherford, maybe 35 min). He agrees, and I don't leave him unattended near my car for fear he will steal my seats after trying mine out. I wouldn't bother with them - I'd go buy new ones somewhere that might be comfortable.
