There is a gunman with they believe bombs strapped to him, inside the Discovery Channel's HQ in Silver Spring, MD, just north of DC.

Yea, we are watching this closely at work because we have several of our NOAA sister sites surrounding that building.

Everyone is safe, and it sounds like the police shot him. No news on if the dude is dead or what. Still some packages around the building that might be IED's.

They said he is in custody, but his condition is unknown. he had 3 hostages, they are all safe.
