I hate those trails. They are so rocky and are really not very enjoyable on a quad. In a car though, they have beautiful views.

I recommend the trails from the Ledge St. entrance in Sloatsburg which technically links to Stag Hill, but avoids the super rocky stuff and takes you to great uphills and mud. I went there this summer in my friend's 1974 Land Cruiser and man its beautiful up there.

I wish I still had a truck that could make it through those trails. My used to take my old Isuzu through those trails often. It was a great feeling being that high up and being away from civilization.

If you run into any kids in those trails on ATVs, steer clear. They are trouble. They all went to my high school. They go back there to smoke pot and will likely harass you if you stop for them.

Mahwah, all the way up 17 by the Sheraton Crossroads.

Which reminds me, maroman- where do you enter? We enter through Sloatsburg partially because I've heard many times of people being harassed by the people who actually live on Stag Hill Rd. I entered there once though because the kid I ride Quads with has a friend who lives all the way up Stag Hill Rd we park our trucks on her driveway. In Sloatsburg, you can drive your truck part of the way into teh trail and pull off to the side with your trailer and unload there. Even my Saturn doesn't get stuck on any rocks or anything.
