				Went to Six Flags today

Well finnally after 8yrs I made it back to Great Adventure. I must say My Wife, Daughter and I had a blast. Very sad right when we got there as the Scream Machine is gone. They still have the entrance that says scream machine but coaster is torn down. They are going to build a new coaster called the Green Lantern. Freefall is gone as well as Batman and robin. The Medusa is now called Bizarro..
The only ride that I went on was King Da Ka. I have been waiting to go on this ride since it opened. I must say it caught me off gaurd on how fast you go. To me it wasnt a coaster but probably the most intense thrill ride I ever went on. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.. Very cool. Didnt get a chance to go on Eltoro or the new Batman coaster as the lines were a little to long. They have 4 kids zones now so Besides King, and the log flume I was going on kid rides that my daughter wasnt tall enough to go on by herself.

Last time I was there it was kind of ghetto but now it is very nice and very clean. We upgraded to season tickets for next year.

Last 2 times I went half the part was broken.. I'm glad I had free tickets, but I still told myself that I will do my best to stay away.
 Glad you enjoyed it though.

El Torro is the big wooden coaster? That is awesome. I love wooden coasters because of the shake rattle and roll.....Steel is nice, but wood rocks. If I remember, El Torro has a cable which rockets you to the top of the first big drop, not a chain that goes clickyclack clickyclack, but its still quite the rush going over that first drop......Make time for that one.

yeah i love six flags and as for the great american scream machine, that one was getting old. Hurt your head when you got off because of the lack of cushion

El Toro is not rough at all... very smooth for a Wooden coaster.
The GASM was taken down in August, IIRC. Many say its due to its roughness.

The "Green Lantern" is Chang, a standup from SFGA.

Anyone who thinks Six Flags is dangerous didn't go to Action Park back in the day.
I'm glad it was a good time for your fam, Jeff. I haven't been there in years!

No major injuries to report, but I saw way too many people leave that place in the back of an ambulance.

Yeah Like I said Six Flags is really for the whole Family now which is great. I didnt think they would have all those kids rides and kids zones.

I still cant believe my daughter went on the Log Flume. That 3rd drop is a pretty high drop and she wasnt scared at all! Not bad for a 4 year old.. She really wanted to go on Kingdaka as well. She needs to be 18 inchs taller 4 that ride as she is only 38 inches tall!

It was my 1st super coaster I ever went on and I was going to have my wife go on it 1st before She attempted Kingda Ka. SHe never really went on a Big coaster being from Utah! She can proudly say that her first Super coaster was Kingda Ka which is the tallest and fastest in the world! Not bad..

I just got sad when I read that. I road it like 30 times last year and it was also the first real roller coaster I read when I was little.

Infact I said to my GF last year "I dont think theyll ever replace this thing. Its like the parks claim to fame..."

**** me for opening my mouth...
