Congrats. How loud do you want it is part of the question too. Loud only when really on the gas? Loud all the time?

Really deep sound comes from engine displacement. What are you running? That can help with muffler selection.

I liked the way my 82 sounded with a 3" exhaust & dynomax. I had a banks setup and when the muffler began to fail I replaced it with the dynomax.

350, exhaust manifolds, mandrel bent 2.5" y-pipe to 3" cat back. Best sounding car I ever owned.

My brother's got a mild 350 in his El Camino with headers and dual 3" all the way with Super 44s. It sounds deep and rumbles nice. It's loud at full throttle but it don't have that rapping sound.
