Another fbody noob LoL
Hey guys, I'm somewhat of an fbody noob. Throughout the past 5 years i've had 4 Grand Prixs. 2 97 GTP's, a 97 se {****** model} and a 99GT. 2 of them 3800 L36 motors, the GTP's where supercharged with work done. I'm a little mechaniclly inclined, but no mechanic by any means haha.
anyway, i just traded my latest GTP for a 94 z28. LT1, more or less stock. The previous owner had the rear main seal replaced in August, had a shift kit put in it, and slapped a big cone filter on the intake tube LoL
here's some pics:
No AC, 82,000 miles, i'm happy. Only problem with it is it has a major oil leak. either from the back of the intake manifold or the oil pressure sending unit. I don't have money or the help to get this changed right now though, so i'm just putting oil in it every few days and hoping it doesn't catch on fire or get on the back tires and spin me out LoL
by the way, I'm Awesome

Yea I know, Rob Gabel {not sure his user name here} told me about it. well, he reminded me about it, i've been a member here for quite a while. I was looking to trade my GTP for an fbody for the past 2 years, and about a year and a half ago, someone with a 3rd gen with a worked motor offered up a trade. thus the research began and i started registering to fbody sites.
In the past, i had an 87 Monte SS with a mild 350 crate motor build. Vortec heads, air gap intake, 670 carb, Dynotech 200-4r, blah blah blah, but it was built already when i got it. so i learned a little, but didn't know much back then. But haveing been through 4 grand prixs, being the president of JSCGP {Jersey Shore Club Grand Prix} and now an Admin/co-creator of MAGMA {Mid Atlantic GM Alliance}, i'm A LOT more versed with stuff haha

welcome to the site....i had a teal one like that 3 years ago. i would check the oil presure sensor first since itsn't the obvious....but its likly the manifold. it could have been something up there all along and the P.O. got robbed by a greedy mechanic

here's a link to a video i made {iphone}, looking under the car.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKqokTqz1Cw
i felt the back of the motor from the top, and the pass side head feels a little wet on the back, but not under the valve cover. possibly coming from the back of the intake. the ONLY thing that makes me think it isn't the oil pressure sending unit, is cause the oil that's leaking, is ALL OVER the underside of the car, not just the driver's side

Damn, thats beutiful. This thing is far from "damn nice". The 1/4 panels dont have much clear left on them, the driver side one has a wrinkle, spoiler's clear is comin off, as well as the nose. The center console needs a new lid (dont they all?), roof is spiderwebbed like crazy....but it runs strong and is a good starting point and thats what matters to me.
Compared to my gtp, this thing is hurtin in the looks department
But thanks for the compliments. Once i start working again, i plan on painting the panel under the tails hi gloss black with blue inlays, tinting the tails darker, ported or LT4 intake, bigger TB, long tubes, and c6z06 wheels from Rob, IF someone buys my 077's from my GTP (pictured above).
But, like insaid, thats after i start working again. As soon as my finger prints go through, i can put my school bus endorcement on my cdl (passed the tests just waiting on that) and i can start driving.
That is, like
