				project slonoma

hey guys the truck is finally getting under way so i figured i would share the progress so far.
i picked up a 93 sonoma 4.3 2wd end of last summer. the clear and paint were starting to look like crap so i sanded and did a quick flat black job till i got the body done and ready for paint.

(When i first bought it)

Picked up some mini tubbed quarters and tailgate for cheap thanks to curt. (S.J.Sleeper)

Since the lower section of my doors are rusted and it would be a pain to try and fix it all i ended up getting a set of doors.

and of course you cant have a project without a set of wheels
picked of a set of cragar ss wheels from a friend of mine(were off his 79 lt1 swapped camaro)

well now the work gets under way.
i picked up suspension stuff for a 2/3 drop.

Big thanks to Curt (S.J.SLEEPER) for taking time out of his day yesterday for helping out big time with the install!

Still trying to locate a set of front fenders and a cowl hood for the truck. once i get them items ill be getting the truck ready to get painted. hope in a couple weeks that it will be ready and getting sent out for paint.

slap a supercharger on the 4.3 and go scare people with it
foff667 used to have an S10 with a blown 4.3 that was pretty quick.

Thank God (Gary) it was a team effort last nite, I don't think we would have got it all done w/out Gary. The Front end sure was a task. Maybe if I get one of my almighty P.O.S. Ls1 cars running we'll tackle the mini-tubbed bed install!

P.S. make sure to send BellTech a polite note on their poor clearanced drop spindles!!!

do a search on syty.net. with syty manifolds and turbo set up all you would need is a marine intake and some tuning. code59 is free tuning software on syty.net and this has been done many times and makes these little trucks move.

the 4.3 can make some pretty good power, you have a couple options of forced induction, of course the classic twin turbo which should sort of bolt right up from the cyclone, or the typhoon
well one of those i can't remember which one, its monday and im still out of it a little

well im finally finishing up rounding up parts for this thing.
got my new fenders and chrome grille today. yes i got an s10 grille for my gmc. i got a rust free tailgate for next to nothing but said chevrolet on it so i just went with a chevy grille since i was going to buy a chrome one any way.

im picking my 2.5 inch cowl hood up friday morning so when i get back from that road trip ill be starting to swap parts over to the truck.

hope to have it painted in a couple weeks.

still have a few color choices im trying to pick from so i need to figure that out next.

			Ok so just another update.
i took a nice 3 hour round trip drive up to wood ridge nj to pick up my cowl hood.

came home and figured i would start to work on the project since parts are taking over my garage.

Hood bolted up good still needs some minor tweeks. driver fender was a pita with all the bolts that gm had holding the damn thing on lol. i think there are more bolts that hold the damn fender on than a kia has all together lol.

but yea ill be messing with the passanger fender tomorrow as long as its nice out.

but here is a quick pic i took with the new driver fender hood and grille.
i dont think the fitment is too bad considering its all aftermarket parts
