Tattoos

I'm sure many of you guys have them but I've never really been interested in having tattoos that were exposed while wearing clothes. Recently I've had a change of heart and made an appointment for the 30th of this month to get something done. I know what I want but I'm not sure I'm going to want it in the future... should I do it anyway or rethink what I want done? (Everybody including my brother thinks I won't really regret it and my mom is the only one saying I probably will regret it but she isn't against it).

Is this too trashy to get down the backs on my bicep? (I want it laid out so the letters travel up my left arm, if my arm was held strait out level with my shoulders it would look like it was being read normally and then I want the second part to travel down my right arm starting at my shoulder)

Example of layout:

born to lose? lol. If your not sure right now then you probably will regret it later on. be 100% sure first. or get something you can at least hide, like on your back somewhere

I agree. Terrible idea. You seriously want to get "born to lose" tattooed on your body for the rest of your life?

if you need the opinions of a bunch of strangers on the internet, you dont really want them...

and the only place i would expect to see text like that on someones tattoos would be in jail....

i agree, i have 5 tatoos and i was 100 percent positive about every one of them, i would suggest not making an appointment and then rushing to see if u like what u are thinking of getting. most of my tattoos have been thought out awhile and when im 100% then i make my appointment

I personally don't like it.

deffinatly a no go on that. wait a few months from now and look back to see if you still want it, and then go from there. i dont see why anyone would every want a negative quote on them, but to each there own. i jsut got my first tattoo last friday, and i love it!

i have a medium sized one on the inside of my bicep, plan to get plenty more. Here's my philosophy and obviously to each his own.

If you believe in or feel so strongly about something you get it tattooed on your body then it obviously means something to you. Whether or not it means something to you 10 years from now doesn't matter, at that time in your life that is the way you felt and you will never forget it, nor should you.

Just make sure when you see it that you truly want it... thats the main thing if your unsure now then don't get it or wait until your positive. That whole 20 years from now is BS.

If you want my personal opinion on that specific tattoo, I think its stupid but then again I don't know what it means to you and who cares what i think? If you do... you shouldn't get any tattoos. There are PLENTY of people who think my tattoo is stupid, ugly, childish, you name it.. DO IT FOR YOUUUU

listen dude i got a 1/2 sleeve on one arm and full sleeve on the other and im telling you your gonna regret that. I know you dont think it matters but how old are you? Thats a really depressing tattoo and by putting that on your body your gonna throw out a default depressed vibe your entire life. If your going through some tough times right now id say think about it with a clearer head when **** passes over. im not saying dont get tatts cause i love them and you'll want more once you get one, but by tattooing "born to loose" on your body is the equivalent to punching your self in the nuts once a day. Why have a negative outlook on your self the rest of your life?

If you do get it, make sure they spell it right.

Also some font consistency would help.

I have 2 full sleeves and I will tell you that the inner and outer elbow are the most painful spots you can choose...so whatever you get there make sure it wont need to be covered up later. You'll probably instantly regret that tattoo the first time the needle bangs off your bone
