this one hit deep...

just a reminder too all you fellow riders out there to becareful out there.

last night at 1am i got a few calls askin if i knew anything about a motorcycle accident near my house, i didnt know anything of it at the time, so i took a ride down there to see what the deal is. cops and medics prevented anyone from getting anywere near it. didnt see a bike, didnt see a person, didnt see anything. so i went home and went back to sleep and didnt think much of it. got a call at 7am when i got to work from my friend who was my other friend(Erics) neighbor explaining how Eric was killed last night in an accident on his bike... so after all that, and seeing everything, it was my close friend who lost his life last night.

details on it are still a little leery. Eric has always been on 2 wheels and is a very skilled rider and for something like this to happen was deffinatly not expected. he was always down to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.

Gas station attendant that was workin at the station on the corner said he came past at upwards of 150mph... which who knows if thats true or not, but regardless, an amazing kid and even better friend was lost last night.

i know we all have that need for speed, weather it be on 2 or 4 wheels(or a hull #fania) but please becareful out there guys...

Very sorry yo hear. I'm laying In the hospital now cause of a girl pulling in front of my bike. Sunday I dislocated and broke my hip. Seeing something like this makes me realize how lucky I am. I'm a safe rider and was being safe but it doesn't stop someone else from being stupid

Wonder if he was wearing gear. Unfortunate but I've been seeing more and more squids on the road riding like jagaloons every day here in Cali and it was just as bad last time I went riding in New Jersey. Makes me uneasy.

That sucks, sorry to hear about your friend. I don't know what it is right now, but both myself and my brother have witnessed people driving through redlights and stop signs in the last couple of days. Just yesterday after work I watched a guy go right through a stop sign without even hesitating and a car was starting to make the turn with the right of way. I was waiting for the crunch but the guy with the right of way was able to stop fast enough. I've also seen and heard a couple of deer being hit. Between other drivers and animals, you really need to pay attention right now.

Alex. I've noticed it too. Last year I was like 1 of 3 sportbikes at school now I see tons none of them wear gear. Helmet and maybe gloves..

Jeff I think your onto something. I've seen 2 accidents on the same road in the last 3 days.

Like I said everyone ride smart and sorry for your loss.

Yup, and that wasn't long after he hit a deer on the bike. For a while there he couldn't catch a break.

Sorry to hear that Mickey; feel even worse for his family. I love motorcycles but simply can't bring myself to get one. Seems all to easy to get seriously hurt whether you know what you or doing or not. Cars aren't much better....

Sucks to lose anyone but hurts even more when it was someone you were close with.

A few days earlier (on Thursday) a 18 year old died over here on a R6. A few of his friend's work for my brother's landscaping company. Apparently he passed two of them illegally at speeds of about 105-115 MPH and the front end got squirrely going into the turn. He regained control and leaned too hard and the rear tire came off the ground. He got ejected off the bike and died instantly. His best friends were right behind him and watched it all happen.

anything at a that speed there really isnt much coming back from. regardless of how good of a rider are, at 150mph, the bike still wants to go straight. and that section of 17 is in sort of a valley per say, and everynight theres water running across it. so i think that may have had something to do with it
