Keep in mind a base CTS sedan starts at 35k. (V at 65k)
The ATS will start probably around 28-30k
ok, so maybe the ATS-V will come in 50-60k lol.

that is what I'm thinking. Actually that is like 20% which is probably a better guess.

yea. lol, that was a bad time for Cadillac.
Cadillac only started their climb back to quality in the mid 90s with the creation of the Northstar engine and other assorted technologies. Yes it had its issues too, but it was one of the first to design a motor that could shut down specific cylinders. At the time it was a "limp-home" mode feature when the engine began overheating, not to conserve fuel. The interiors were also a HUGE improvement over the 80's "Cadillacs". I had a 95 STS and it was amazing for the time. Center console dash trim was real wood.

Yes, my friend had a late 90/early 2000 cadillac. Was a nice friggin car, but once the northstar gave it problems, he was missing his wallet. Recently priced a idle air control valve for one....300 buck mechanics cost!!

Expect it to be priced at around 3 series/C class money, as that is what this car is going after.
CTS is lame duck till it moves to Alpha in 2015-2016.

I do like the 140 over the 130, but the idea of the 130R is attractive.

If you guys didn't read, they asked a whole bunch of young people what they wanted in a car.
These two were the most popular ideas that they came up with. An exotic looking hatchback, and a more upright RWD sports coupe, starting around 20k.
Both designs were put together by GM's Advanced Design Studio in North Hollywood.

Put the engine in the back of the 140S, and it would fool me as GM's new supercar. I like it alot.

What "young person" says they want an "upright car". I've never even heard a car guy talk in design speak like that.

it seems cars designed for young people often backfire. iirc the average element owner is like 55 years old. i know there are some other examples but I can't think of them right now. and scion sales are in the tank.
