Mercedes,Audi, and BMW, I see a ton of them at these one owner dealerships like Autolenders. People wonder why they're affordable now and they're so clean, and low mileage....most were a lease, and thats the smartest thing you can do with those three companies. They're over engineered because one's trying to outdo the other, but in the end it hurts the consumer. I can do without the hydraulic sway bar and 4 wheel stability managment blah blah blah. It's luxury I get it, you bought it for that, but my favorite line when someone who owns one and comes into my store ( Land Rover owners especially) Why so much? I tell them straight up you gotta pay to play, and you bought a luxury car, they come with luxury price tags. They don't like what I have to tell them, but tough, buy a focus next time.

I knew what I was getting into when my wife wanted a MINI. I told her," You want a MINI, you got a MINI." Now when I say that, she tells me to shut the hell up mid sentence. European cars aren't for the faint of heart or wallet. In the end, when a car's life before killing your wallet is 3-5 years, is it really a quality produced car? I don't care how many gadgets are in it, that's a horrendously short life spand for a so called quality build. I keep hearing people hark on Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge, and with the exception of Dodge, most of the Big three's line up stands up pretty well into the 10 year range without selling your first born. The Malaise era is gone and so is Chevrolet's bad rep of building ****** cars. I'll take the plastic squeek in the interior, GM decided they didn't need to place a special lubricant only a small shop in the Alps produces made by the tears of orphans and Narwal horns on the back of it, they said screw it, turn the radio up.

And it's not just my experience with customers and my wife's car, there are several other family members and friends who own BMW's and tell me the same thing I told you. They lease and nothign more. I'll never buy anything beyond a MINI Cooper, I'll stick with my plastic fantastic live axle Camaro, or another American car, or even Korean at that, even if I had money to burn, cause at the same time I prefer to work on all my cars, brand new or old as dirt, and after seeing those photos, I'd of poured gas in that mofo, and set it ablaze.
