Yeah, I was planning on taking the skiff out for a run after work and making some adjustments to the trailer while the boat was in the water, but of course it started storming just as I got home from work.

And... we have several days of rain here in scenic Hackettstown. My lawn is only nearly knee high, no big deal.

Anyone have a machette I can borrow, as I'll need one at this rate.

With all the crap weekends (Heat-Humidity-Rain) I have been to only 1 car show. No big deal, but it gets annoying that every weekend, all you have time for is cutting the lawn (sweating my balls off) and watching the storms develop.

I was out on the golf course Thursday when a storm popped up. We had 5 guys on a golf cart racing back to the clubhouse. It almost tipped over several times and we got wet, but nobody got hurt. Lightning just exploded everywhere. It rained so hard the 18th hole was completely covered in water. But we went back out after it cleared through and the course actually drained pretty well. But it's time to mow the lawn, again!

Driving home from work, swerved to miss a big ass puddle and the typical asshat tailgating me took it as a chance to zoom around, oh sweet karma.

And then right outside of work there was a car stuck in a lake on the road, that was interesting, rain makes everyone forget what shreds of driving skills they had left.

I was out on the river yesterday when it started to look iffy. My luck has been terrible this year so I headed back to the dock and I suddenly remembered I left the windows open in the house. Like usual, I was about 2 minutes too late. At least I got the lawn mowed and a bunch of vines, shrubs, branches cut back, cleaned up and dumped before the next round of rain showed up.

Finally got a change to mow the lawn yesterday. I think I heard my ride on mower crying and yelling, "Game over, man! Game over! What are we going to do now?!"

Grass was tall enough to make the mower bog down, which I have *never* had happen before. Had to cut at the lowest speed setting, with 1/2 deck width cuts, or it probably would've stalled out.

when it's like that you got to raise the blade height real high. you might have to cut again a few days later at the normal level.

Did that. Actually, I always cut with the deck high, as I have clay soil and I was informed that this will help to develop roots in dirt that occasionally resembles concrete.
