Sheet metal is totally different. Outside of the fact that they share similar design cues (grill design and logo) they look different.
GMC has had a rounder fender flares and whatnot for a while, but now they are following the Chevy's boxed fender look. Probably saves a few sheckles too.

Al,
I know you said no power numbers yet, but is there any information out there about the new V6? Will it be based off the V8s like the older 4.3 V6 was?

I thought I said it before, and it's in the link, but the 4.3 is based on the Gen V engine, not the old 4.3. They wanted an engine that could hold up to the abuse. The 4.3 will be available in all cab/bed configurations too. Should make near 300hp.

Actually, the true crew-cab rear doors have been extended. GM has always had the smallest rear seats in the biz, so they fixed it this time around. That must be like an extended cab? Not sure. They made it a big talking point about the new trucks have the best rear space in the industry now.

The new trucks are nice but the pricetags are insane.
