Start at the battery. I had the same thing after letting the T/A sit forever. Even with a charge/jump, it would only crank. I had a friend check the battery for me and most of the cells had died. Took it in for a warranty replacement & it fired right up immediately. Rule out the easy stuff first. 0.02

Why did you start there? Did you get #1 piston TDC compression stroke and check where the rotor is pointed?

I didn't do that. I followed a diagram I saw somewhere, I didn't even think of that. I wonder if I stick my finger in #1 I would be able to feel when piston is TDC when rotating motor by hand?

Pull #1 plug, put your finger over the hole and have someone bump it over(if you don't have a starter button, which you should!). You should feel it come up on compression. Use the balancer and line it up with TDC. Now pull the cap and check where the rotor is pointing. Then check which post one the cap should be #1.

Runs for about ten seconds with no throttle response. Then bogs out. For sale thread to follow.
