I've always ran shorties. I know the longtubes will Def give you ground clearance issues if you plan to lower. I've had good luck with edelbrock and hooker headers. The hooker y pipe is much nicer out of the two though.

just an update, over the past month been trying to have a friend tune the car and work some bugs out. started to smoke one weekend out of the blue, and overheat. pulled the intake blown intake gasket... great. determined that the heads we miss drilled so the gaskets wouldnt line up and the intake itself needed to be plained.
sent the intake out to get planed at Haledon Auto. got it back this weekend, after alot of oil changes to flush the coolant out of the engine and a semi-decent tune the car is running great and actually got to take it on a good 1hr break in.

an update to this.... still no tune, still no track runs but this weekend myself and a friend of mine did new rotors, pads, calipers, brake master cyl, rear lower control arms, relo brackets, and AC delete panel. next weekend manual steering gear welding in the wide-band o2 and screwing with the exhaust, maybe it will leak less. then maybe get it tuned.... for right now the car is driveable but i dont want to race it until its correct2014-08-07 21.12.5011.jpg
