American Alexander Rossi to join F1 grid in Russia!!!
For the first time since Scott Speed ran for Toro Rosso (the Red Bull junior team) 7 years ago there will be an American on track when the grid forms at Sochi.
For those that don't follow open wheel road racing, Alexander Rossi is very very talented. He has been a part of a few different development programs and is now getting his shot taking over Jules Bianchi's seat as he recovers from a catastrophic wreck in Japan.
The last few Americans that have been in line for seats haven't had things work out so this is a big deal, especially with American based Haas F1 set to join the grid. There is also another American in the pipeline, Connor Daly (son of retired racer Derrick Daly) with a legit shot to hit the grid in the next year or two.
Can't wait for the race.
