1st challenge in the new car-or so i thought
last night coming home from band practice(rt. 1&9N @ 12:30am), a g35 puller up and the guy driving was ghetto-fabulous. Kept looking over and revving and jumping his car. finally we lined up at a light, and when the other light turned yellow, he jumped his car 1/2-a-length, I say f-this, bring the revs up to 5500 and drop it at the green. With me, my bassist, my singer, a bass, guitar, and assorted studio equiptment in my car, I had put 2-3 lengths on him by 45. I knew in my Formula these cars were no problem, but now I know REALLY, these cars are no problem.
His Car-03-04 g35 with at least exhaust.
Mine-03 Evo-intake & exhaust
I know, I know, not a REAL challenge, but I know what f-body's and mustangs can do. No imports would race my old formula, so this is all new to me. Oh yeah, the AWD launches are fun!
and yea, I know at the end of the day, I drive a Lancer...

we never have a chance to run together, but to make things fair, we're gonna do a 1/4mi challenge and a road course challenge...so your $$$'s on mokey for the road course too?
and don't forget who did everything except the line lock to monkey's car, I take the fact that you're betting on the Formy as a compliment!

i did the intake, airfoil, mounted the rims, re-hung the exhaust, installed the short-throw & stick(flameball as well, dave did help me with the wiring on that one), swapped out the pcm, put in the LT4 knock module,...but other than that(the fuel pump, the initial exhaust install, clutch and rear), you're 100% correct, i did nothing personally to the car. C'mon, you're running your mouth like dave, and 1 thing monkey & I should've taught you is don't do that. :P
besides, I chose the RIGHT components the 1st time, once again, unlike dave

eh...to each their own...j/k they're really nice, but after doing my homework, more can be done to the evo, and it reacts better to mods. believe me, I wanted an STi BAD

All that money, and no radio and pink lettering....
The American STi isnt as impressive as the one in Europe and Japan.
Plus, the Evo makes more hp/liter, so it is teh r0x0rs.

lol...in all fairness, it was $18K(+paint job), and whe he ran the 12.1 he was only getting 425whp...but the stock 10-bolt there are no excuses for when you're dealing with that much $$$.
yeah, if I were to spend $32-$35K on a car, I would buy the GTO or EVO MR, the Scooby is badass, but I now know the joys of handling!
