the shop had a show on trucks on spike tv early in september. you may have seen it. the frame was finished and rolling by the time the show aired, but on the show it was in the same state as the first picture of it.

i got paid in my full negotiated hourly rate on the frame. i know the kid with the blazer and cut him a hell of a deal. pretty much cut my hours in half, and was still happy with what i made. these trucks have been a work in progress for a long time. these have been a learning experiance for the owner of the shop too which would be like paying for school in a way and it benefits the name of the shop.

i agree its not really my style truck, they are both a little over the top, but working on them i can deff. appreciate the amount of work that was put into them. i actually wouldnt mind just a simple daily driven bagged s-10. one kid down there took me for a ride in his, and was just dragging the **** out of it, throwing sparks everywhere. its a pretty cool scene.

as far as the rear goes you can kinda see some stuff in this picture, and just the other one is all i have.

no, they are flex pipes. motor moves, frame doesnt...flexible joint is needed.

how well does that style work with side loads?
the way the bushings sit it looks like the straight up and down from acceleration and deceleration would be fine, but the bushings are all perpendicular to the frame rails on the rear housing. wouldn't that prevent the frame from being able to lean over and handle the simple act of going around a corner without binding up and severely limiting suspension travel?
i am gonna google the suspension style, if there is any place in particular you know of i can get good info about it let me know. it looks really low profile, like something that would fit easily below a stock floor pan in a passenger car

if you want I can dig up my Wyotech notes. we went over every possible front and rear suspension setup in depth, except for a watts link setup.

that would be cool if you still have them. to me it looks like using spherical ends and coil overs hung at the arch angle of the rear would be a killer handling set up
