When my car (the nova) was there about 3 years ago I don't think he worked there, but Danny and his main guy (damn I forget his name) are 100% professional in their approach and execution. If I did another old car they'd be the only place I would go.

can't do that, cause then I'd have to kill myself and that ain't happening anytime soon. Plus it ain't totally done yet (I need to put the interior in and hook up the clutch and bleed the brakes)

So that gave me a sense that they were a higher quality company than some of those 'cheaper" places that sell on ebay that ONLY turn out hoods from a mold day after day and arent really concerned with quality. With glasstek selling to racers, who are much more critical, lol, i'd feel comfortable buyign from them, plus their prices are very competitive.
I bought mine after seeing a 1969 Firechickek with a 4" cowl on it and of course that car never came with a cowl, but the hood blended so seamlessly from the point up to the cowl I figured if they can make that look good, then for sure the can do a 70 Nova hood. Its a really nice piece and I don't think its really that expensive compared to a bolt on hardwood....I paid $375 plus shipping at the time (5yrs ago) from Vanishing Point Race Cars.

I have a glasstek 4" cowl on the Chevelle, and it is an amazing hood! The fit was damn near perfect, and required almost NO body work when I did it. I paid $450 for it shipped. The quality of the hood is hands down one of the best ones I have ever seen. It has the reinforced plates both where the hinge and the latch go. The only problem I have is that the springs I have to use wont hold the hood up, so I had to devise a plan of keeping the hood from coming down at shows or when Im working on it. I just drilled a hole through the hinge when the hood is up, and toss a pull pin through it and it keeps the hood up. Easy, and there isnt an ugly hood prop.

Check the link below, Camaro/Hoods. Brent has compiled a great site. Put your cursor on the thumb nail to get info on the hood.
