I have seen a number of Mach 1's make passes at the track and none of them have come close to that number. Most that I've seen hit around 13.7x's or so. Now I'm not disagreeing that there are probably a few that run those numbers stock, but that's like saying every LS1 car can run 12.9x's stock since a few have done so. And by stock I'm not talking cold air or exhaust. I'm talking paper filter stock.
I don't think Ford needs a blower to hang stock but they certainly do have a tougher time.

DO NOT under esimate stangs my uncle's 2004 GT N/A, full SLP bolt ons, 3.73, DRs does 12.7-12.9 and its a 5 speed only a GT last i checked thats as good as most of the LS1s out there...
if you want my opinion get an LS1 M6, better motor means less money spent on it to make it better

No its not, and im talking paper filter also... If you see a 5spd mach running slower then a 13.5 then that driver needs some practice. The auto's are hitting 13.7-8's stock. They run almost identical times to Ls1's, they just trap a few mph's less.

If you are referring to me, I am not underestimating stangs. I was talking unmodified.

2v's are a different story, now they stink . They(99-04's) need all the bolt ons, tires and maybe cams sometimes to hit 12's...Only problem is there barely getting over a 100 mph doing it.

so only the supercharged ones are good?
and those are the ones that can run with the stock LS1's?

Mach 1's are 320 dohc na motors, They run w/ stock LS1's. The blown 03/04 underated 390 hp (most put high 360's-370's to the wheels)Cobra should run mid 12's stock w/ a good driver.
procamaroz28 a full bolt on 2v GT only puts down 260-70 hp, even w/ the cams most only hit 290's. Some cams cars have trouble seeing 105. Your uncle must be a good driver im surprised he's seeing those times w/ 373's.

The only mustangs I've seen staying with LS1's are cobra's, and that's not really anything worth talking about since they have a supercharger.I've seen a few Mach 1's that are bone stock run at e-town and the best I've seen is a stick car running a 13.8.

forgot to mention tune, 260-70 sounds more like stock full SLP bolt on i mean everything SLP has for that car pullies, LT headers x pipe ... and also he got intake manifold, TB, and plenum i can try to post a vid of his run i have it on a disc

dyno is alot more than that, those modular motors are way way under tuned from factory even the terminators, and the new shelby

If money is an issue go LT1, you can build good stuff cheaper. LS1 I think is a better engine but everything costs a fortune for it.

UM, my 02 with just a convertor and slp exhaust went 12.2. 3.23 gears and it's an auto with a 3600 TC. SO, Yeah it is possible.

As far as my comment I stand by it 100% stock for stock Stangs did not run with LS1's. Now if your talking an 07 Stang vs. an 02 LS1 I don't know I've never run one and haven't been to the track in like 3 years so I don't know their numbers. I just know that I've never run a stang without a supercharger that had the cajhones to stick with me.
Not saying I'm the fastest thing on earth either I know there are stangs out there worked and super sick crazy fast, but it's not the norm.

Well if its been 3 or so years more then likely you didnt race a Mach 1. The engine is basically a 99/01 DOHC w/ a few improvements and the Mach has better gearing. 99/01 Cobra's w/ a good driver arent that far off from a LS1 either...As far as the new 3v GT, they can run w/ LS1's but because of their electronic nanny (drive by wire)they usually need a CAI & tune. Thats pretty much the first mod you do to those cars.

Wow...this went from LT1 or LS1 to Mustangs....*YUCK*
Back on topic?
I say go for the LS1 M6 At first I wanted an LS1 auto- but I ended up getting an M6...after taking it down to the track...I am SOOOOO glad I got the M6 and not the auto. Good luck with whatever you end up with.

Your right..anyhoo . Yea Im definately going w/ the 6spd. I thought maybe it would be fun to pick up a Lt1 and have more money to throw at it, seems like it would be just a pita and get expensive in the end seeing im not a mechanic. I like the idea of possibly hitting 11's w/ gears and bolt ons anyway

and as far as the terminators go, they could hit high 12s stock with a darn good driver. even with their bolt ons and all, theyd need a good driver. (sorry to bring up mustangs again kelsey lol!)
