I know the stage 1 kit is covered by warranty, but if they screwed up the wiring by making a faulty connection it could give a false sensor reading which might make the computer think it's over boosting. It sounds like they don't know how to troubleshoot the setup. Even a cracked intercooler would give some boost(unless it's split in half). A cracked turbo or open bypass will give minimal signs of boost and seems like the real problem.

agreed....the gms1 one has been on since jan. they reinstalled the entire kit though...both dealers actually. i was thinking the waste gate could be stuck open too....i'm gonna talk to the person working on the car when i go to inspect it today and see if he pressure tested the piping like i was told and check the bpv like i was told. because i was told it was holding pressure a week ago...and if its holding pressure..the ic is defintately not cracked.
i dont think they know how to trouble shoot cause unless there are codes, they don t know how to check anything. that is why they're replacing sensor like crazy. instead of inspecting the hardware...like the bpv, turbo...ect "oh, we got p0101, replace the maf and all intake sensors including the gfms1 upgrade and throw on a ecu for the hell of it...that will fix it!"

i went to check it out after the dealer said it defintely wasnt gioing to be under warranty. Well, i got to the dealer, saw that my car had its ic zip tied in some places. I went in and the service manager said that the manager of the dealership said to just order a new ic and install it. I asked if it was going to be under warranty and he said i guess so cause the manager never said to call and ask me. so, i'm aledgedly getting my car back tomorrow after the install and tested the ic. This dealer never calls me back though so who knows if they even got the ic yet. I'm starting to really hate my loaner

car is fixed! it was one of the ic pipes and ic. the ic had a 2x4 inch hole in it and the ic pipe was cracked. that is exactly what i told the first daler(malouf) to check. they said that they pressure tested the pipes and they were fine...obviously lying. royal chevy is the place that fixed it.

Wow, 2x4 inch hole is pretty serious. Was it near a weld or something? I can't believe it took so long to figure that out. At least it's fixed!

the ic is metal, but has plastic end tanks....they blow under stock boost which can be from 15 to 20 psi(gms calibrations try to lockdown a certain air flow, hence why the boos varies). I'm gm stage 1 where the boost can vary from 17 to 23psi. I ordered a new metal after market ic for when this one goes again..so i can just upgrade it.
