Stone will wrap around from the existing house to front of garage and around the left corner. Garage doors will be 8'9x10' so the worktruck fits in.........

Sweet! Are you going to extend the same line around the entire left side & compensate with siding, or will the stone go all the way to the peak on the left side of the garage? Are you going to keep the spotlight outside or nah? Gutters? Looks good so far!!

may I recommend a big side window or at least a large vent fan up top on the exterior wall?

Somewhere to mount an A/C unit is not a bad idea, either.

I plan on putting a double hung on side wall at some point. Just wanted to close everything up for now........ Wildbill, that's my kitchen, it has the door that goes to garage. Will be a raised panel self closing fire door.

looks great Rich, find a vintage Gooseneck lamp and mount it in the middle of the dormer. The down lighting cast will make that area look amazing at night. I have found that using a larger diameter clear bulb illuminates best.

ive been following this thread lately but that looks really damn good. nice addition to the house. if you havent thought about it yet id say it might be a good idea to put in a small sink area somewhere. a buddy of mine put one in his garage and its pretty convenient

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions, guys. Slab is poured and trans am is parked in there already. I wire lathed and scratch coated it yesterday and today. Going to start stone tomorrow. Should take a week or so since I'm only able to work on it a couple hours a day. Wish my propert was alittle wider so I could get two car wide but no big deal. It is what it is.

32' is still nothing to sneeze at. Considering there will be a lift in there, and you'll actually be using the space to work on the car and other projects, I'd say a roomy 1 car may be better than a sardine-canned 2 car...

stupid question, but... how do you do that? lol

I have a small section of exterior wall around a basement window where it was wire lathed and covered with some sort or concrete product when built (1980) but it was very thin and the wire rusted, bulged, and broke free. So now I have a 6"x8" hole I need to fix.

You would have to cut out the old lathe where it is bulged with a grinder with diamond wheel. Then buy a sheet of metal lathe, comes in 2'x8'. Usually costs $6.00 per sheet at home cheapo or blowes. Get some 1" or 1 1/2" masonry nails with washers and nail the lathe to the block wall. The cup of the diamond lathe should face up to create a little bowl for the cement to sit in. Next, get a bag of mortar mix and just trowel on a coat to fill up the diamonds. This won't look too fancy, just to fill the lathe. Wait a day or so and trowel on the finish coat with a square trowel. Depending on the finish your trying to match is how long you wait to finish and what you use. Alot of times you will use a damp sponge about an hour later. If you post a pic, I can get into more detail about finishing it. That's the only tricky part.

OK thanks for the info, The area to repair is kinda small. I just wasn't sure how to secure the lathe. And I have to see if theres even a block wall behind it, It may be wood. Does that make any difference. I do believe there is black waterproofing paper behind the lathe currently. Just leave that or remove and replace that too?

As you can see from the picture, the mortar coating must have been very thin because the rusted lathe is visible seeping out. And the part I accidentally broke open, there was no metal left, it all crumbled.

Or, is there maybe a better way to protect/cover that area instead?

I'm not in the hugest rush for the lift but yes it will be 2 post. Ill probably wait til a good deal comes. Paul, ill respond when I can see that pic on my big puter.
