355 from a 305 formula: 305 block punched 60 over, GM's 3.8" "383 stroker" crank reground with smaller rod journals for an overall stroke of 3.92" = 355 cubes of 305 block fury and a lot of wasted dollars.
Not that you'd have very much fun with a super thin walled 305 but just proving that ANYTHING can be done with enough creativity (or stupidity). |
HA! .060 over 305!! Enjoy that. Thast cutting it a little close to the water jackets for my taste. Hell...you could keep taking it out, but there was a reason there is a 335 kit, because there is still some wall left.
And thats a LOT of work for getting pretty much the same power you would if you went to a 350 and bored it out .030 over.
